We are looking for a DevOps Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Services (EDS) team. The role involves working in a dynamic data delivery environment, ensuring smooth and efficient development processes within our Centralised Data Platform (CDP). The ideal candidate will manage development overlaps, collaborate with various EDS roles, and maintain a clear release roadmap.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Review and manage upcoming or current developments to prevent and resolve development clashes.
- Communicate with data analysts, modellers, engineers, testers, and business SMEs regarding potential data conflicts.
- Maintain and update the EDS release roadmap, ensuring no release clashes and allowing time for dependent releases to undergo the release process.
- Act as the main point of contact for project release managers and participate in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) forum.
- Report to EDS leadership to provide a clear view of the delivery roadmap.
- Coordinate release activities across all EDS development squads and facilitate scrum ceremonies.
- Oversee the CI/CD process, ensuring releases are executed efficiently and in line with Agile principles.
- Produce and maintain release documentation as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in maintaining a release roadmap and managing CI/CD processes.
- Proficiency in facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting Scrum Masters.
- Strong understanding of Azure DevOps and Data Platform systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to highlight risks and issues relevant to releases.
