Devops Engineer

We're looking for an exceptional candidate to join the Engineering Team at Transport Exchange Group (TEG). Reporting into the Head of DevOps, you will be supporting and improving the Transport Exchange infrastructure, reliability and automated workflows.

Role Responsibilities:

· Meeting the team’s shared delivery objectives

· Active contributions to all activities and ceremonies of the team

· Contributing to the technical design and implementation of various services, systems automation and configuration tools

· Constructing, improving and maintaining the automated deployment pipelines

· Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with systems and services across several environments

· Creating and maintaining required technical documentation

· Meeting the team’s standards for code quality and deployment practices

· Collaborating with the wider team on design and code reviews

Role Requirements:

· 3+ years of commercial experience in a similar role

· Experience working with;

o Helm and Kubernetes

o Terraform

o AWS services

o CI/CD tools (Jenkins would be a plus)

· Knowledge of Git, Docker and scripting languages

· Knowledge of PostgreSQL would be a plus

· Strong problem-solving skills backed with research and analysis

· Able to communicate effectively to different audiences

· Able to provide and adjust task estimates

Working Conditions:

We offer both remote and hybrid working models, and candidates are welcome to work from any location at their discretion. TEG has offices in London Kings Cross, a 5-minute walk from the mainline train station, and in Chippenham Wiltshire.
