I’m recruiting a Dewatering Manager for an Irish environmental company that have been delivering technology-led environmental, renewable energy and sustainability solutions for over 22 years.

As a Dewatering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our dewatering operations. You will be responsible for coordinating and executing dewatering projects efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality services to our clients. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Science or Engineering degree.
  • Proven experience in dewatering operations, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of dewatering methods, equipment, and technologies.
  • Ambitious and a drive to succeed.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Essential that the candidate is self-motivated as well as being a strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage with people at all levels.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management, coaching, and development.
  • Sound understanding of environmental regulations, permits, and compliance requirements related to dewatering activities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Plan, organise, and execute dewatering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of dewatering methods, equipment, and technologies to provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
  • Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and requirements, and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all dewatering activities comply with environmental regulations, discharge licences, and industry standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of dewatering technicians and operators, providing training, guidance, and support to maximize their performance and productivity.
  • Safety Management: Prioritise safety in all aspects of dewatering operations, implementing safety protocols, conducting regular safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety among team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of dewatering processes and equipment.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of dewatering activities, prepare project reports, and communicate project status updates to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, innovation, and optimization within the dewatering department to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall service delivery.
