Digital Content Assistant           

Salary from £25,000 to £32,000

2 to 3 month FTC   

FT – 35 hours per week

Homebased Role

Are you a Content Management System (CMS) super user?

Could you be available for summer work? (in between contracts / freelance work or returning back to Uni)

Are you able to join us for an urgent project kick off, starting 15th or 22nd July?

If yes, this could be a great opportunity to join our central digital team here at Saga. One of our valued traditional products; Saga Magazine has recently been launched online. This means we are recruiting for a team of 5 Digital Content Assistants to join us on a 2 to 3 month contract to ensure articles from a vast achieve can be published to our live site via Sitecore.

You may be approaching your years as a Marketing or Journalist student, already graduated or just looking for your next Digital Content role and would love to have Saga on your CV!

*You may be required to visit the London office during the contract to meet the team running this project. You must be within a reasonable commuting distance to attend our London Kings Cross hub.

Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be reporting directly to our Digital Product Lead for 2 to 3 months as a Fixed term employee. We will provide you with all the tools such as laptop, monitor and keyboard. You will be responsible for the following tasks:


Accurately moving pre-written articles, interviews and other creative content to our Sitecore platform.
Scheduling content changes in the CMS for the Saga Magazine domain.
Ensuring all content is delivered on time and can be published correctly to a high standard.
Communicate effectively to the internal teams to resolve any site amends and bugs.
Be a contributing player in the digital team as we undertake this critical project and deliver to our dead line.
Be a CMS superuser; provide support and knowledge across the business of content change possibilities.
Work with the wider Digital team on the launch plan of new content.
Be the on-going QA and monitoring of website content and proper functionality

The Ideal CandidateYou will already have a passion for the Digital Content space and have previously used a CMS platform. We are only able to consider candidates who can join us from mid-July for a period of 2 to 3 months. You will also need to demonstrate the following skills and experience;


Have meticulous attention to detail
Experience of using content management systems
Ability to use systems and comfortable working in a technology-based environment
Excellent organisation skills
Strong team player with the ability to make and maintain connections across the business
Can work remotely – able to stay focussed and deliver on the daily task in hand.


Desirable;


Experience with Sitecore, WordPress or similar content management systems.
Skills in proofreading and editing engaging written content for a B2C audience.
