Job Description
Summary of the role:
Actively assist in the deployment of Digital Engineering technologies, in conjunction with Digital Engineering Manager.
Monitor the implementation and application of the divisional D.E. procedures, processes, and implementation plans.
Undertake quality assurance audits on third party involved at project level.
Communicate and plan how the project team should be capturing the asset information as per the Employers Information Requirements.
Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
Monitor the use of the standard Digital engineering guidance, documents, and templates.
Co-ordinate the 3D collaboration process between all parties involved and being responsible for the digital collaboration platform (project level)
Creating visuals from models for team use or to proactively highlight issues.
Assist in BIM co-ordination meetings along with the BIM or Design Manager, this may include such activities as live walkthroughs, clash detection, problem solving, co-ordination or spatial issues.
Supporting the use of Digital Engineering technologies and supporting the Digital Engineering Manager to develop digital KPIs, maturity assessments and ROI tools for deployment on projects and across the business to facilitate standardized adoption and validation of value added.
Assist in the development of the Design Management Teams competencies in the application and use of all approved Digital Engineering software.
Assist in the development, application and use of 4D and 5D BIM.
Maintain the BIM Assessment data of all primary. secondary and specialist subcontract designers.
Support Pre-construction team defining Project Digital Strategy during tender stage.
Conduct quality assurance audits on third party issuing BIM assessment and notify the project teams of all non-compliances.
Support the client in the compilation of the Employers and Contractors Information Requirements.
Provide assistance and guidance to project Design Managers/Coordinators on
-the application, use and management of Building Information Models
-the interpretation, development and compliance of Employers Information Requirements (EIR)
-the extraction and compilation of Asset Data and production of COBie type spreadsheets
-the preparation of project specific BIM Execution Plans and associated supporting documents
-the implementation of clash detection reviews across multi-discipline BIM models
Provide assistance and guidance to the project Document Controllers/Information Managers on the creation and management of project workflows and the storage of model files within the Common Data Environment.
Provide BIM training for the project team as per Digital Engineering strategy.
Assist in the provision of technical advice to client design, project and Facility Management teams on the determination, compilation and application of BIM asset data.
Working knowledge and understanding of:
-ISO19650-1, ISO19650-2, ISO19650-3, BS 1192-4:2014, ISO19650:5.
-IFC and other commonly used date exchange formats.
-Viewpoint for projects.
-Autodesk (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage)
-Solibri Office.
-Synchro.
-BIMcollab (or similar collaboration platform)
