The Bradford District Digital Inclusion Programme is a key delivery arm of the District Digital Strategy. Our aim is to ensure everyone in the district has access to a device; internet connectivity and the skills to engage in the digital world.
We are looking to appoint a Digital Inclusion Officer who is passionate about Digital Inclusion, who will work collaboratively in communities to lead the development and delivery of a range of Digital Inclusion initiatives to improve access and awareness across the district.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with digitally excluded people and an understanding of the barriers to digital access for individuals and communities in the Bradford district.
You should have strong networking skills and experience of building relationships with people from a variety of backgrounds. Working collaboratively with council departments and a range of partners including local businesses; VCSE; NHS; Public Health etc. To ensure Digital Inclusion is factored in and supported across all initiatives.
The Digital Inclusion Officer will also contribute towards the wider West Yorkshire Digital Inclusion programme to accelerate and maximise Digital Inclusion.
This is a new 2-year fixed term post which will be funded using Gainshare Funding secured through a grant agreement with West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA).
