About Auto Trader
We’re Auto Trader, the UK's leading automotive marketplace and a FTSE 100 tech-listed company, uniting the largest and most engaged consumer audience with the most extensive network of vehicle sellers. At our core, it's all about people. We embrace diversity, celebrate our differences, and forge our own path. Our six core values define our distinct culture, and our dedication to in-person collaboration sets us apart.
About the role
Our Consumer Marketing Team are looking for a Digital Marketing Executive to join them.
As a Digital Marketing Executive, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day set-up and optimisation of PPC, Paid Social and programmatic campaigns across our Leasing and BLC (Bike, Leisure, Commercial) priorities on Google, Bing, Meta, and the Trade Desk. This will involve working closely with the Digital Marketing team, the wider Consumer Marketing team and other stakeholders in the business to create effective paid marketing campaigns and report on their effectiveness.
You will build campaigns from the ground up, optimising and continually evolving these to help deliver industry-leading best practices. Working in a fast-paced, agile environment means you’ll need to manage multiple projects while working alongside key stakeholders within the business.
You will continually look for opportunities to improve performance while delivering industry-leading best practices. You’ll work closely with our data and product teams to analyse performance, generate critical insights, and help implement and monitor tracking tools and reports.
The role will be based in our Manchester office, but you will also work closely with colleagues in our London office, so travel to London will be required on average once or twice a month.
You might believe that a passion for cars is a requirement, but guess what? It’s not! At Auto Trader, you’re welcome just as you are.
What we’re looking for
- Experience setting up, managing, and optimising Paid campaigns across Google, Bing, Meta & Display platforms (The Trade Desk and Quantcast preferred)
- An individual who can actively work in the marketing platforms to make changes.
- Experience creating PPC ad copy and managing ongoing tests.
- Experience delivering industry-leading best practices, such as, ad copy, ad extensions, device-level bidding, audience targeting, and scheduling.
- Experience using Excel extensively in previous roles and confident manipulating and analysing data to provide solution-driven outcomes.
- A data-driven, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual.
- Confident user of Google Ads, Bing, Meta, and reporting tools such as Google Analytics or Looker
- Confident user in bid management software, e.g. Search Ads 360
- Experience in other social media platforms, including Snapchat and TikTok, would be useful.
At Auto Trader, we believe that every candidate brings a unique blend of talents. If you find yourself ticking some, but not all, of the requirement boxes, we'd love to hear from you.
