The role This is an exciting opportunity to positively contribute to student digital experience by taking ownership of the student app and its ongoing development roadmap. The role holder will work closely with a wide range of colleagues and will manage services at different stages of the product lifecycle from initiation to development to sunsetting, ensuring that services remain reliable, robust, and secure, and providing expertise about technical requirements and platforms. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months. What will you be doing? Creating the strategy and roadmap for the student app and related products. Supporting the delivery of the University’s wider digital strategy. Working alongside other specialist areas (including UX design, UI design and front-end development) to solve complex problems with effective and usable solutions. Influencing and negotiating with a wide variety of staff across the University to ensure a shared understanding of priority, issues, benefits and options for student-facing products and services. Being the main referral point for all digital queries related to relevant products and content, using innovation and new techniques to solve problems. Developing KPIs and analyse performance against them to understand current and desired success of related services. Lead regular reviews on relevant user journey to ensure products and services remain fit for purpose and continue to deliver value to the university. You should apply if You have demonstratable experience of: Effectively managing Digital Products. Defining digital strategies and roadmaps. Significant transformation products and major change communication. Communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, including at a senior leadership level. You understand user research and how to apply it to product development. You have a proven ability with setting, monitoring and reporting measurable performance targets.
