Direct Business Specialist

The Direct Business Specialist role is to deliver a professional face to face service experience to customers, prospective customers and professionals in order to maximise contribution towards the Small Businesses Banking Small Businesses segment and to improve customer engagement by understanding the customer’s needs, and offering solutions to help them realise their dreams and ambitions 

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Direct Business Specialist

In this role, you will:

•    Assist in the delivery of solutions that are appropriate to meet new and existing customer needs, deliver fair customer outcomes, and improve customer engagement
•    Collaborate with colleagues and external third party referral partners to assess needs of customers and deliver appropriate needs-based solutions for customers
•    Self-educate regarding digital innovation and change agenda in order to drive digital and change adoption of customer base.
•    Uphold credit policy and lending guidelines whilst maintaining a balanced approach to risk management
•    Demonstration of HSBC UK principles of treating customers fairly.

The successful candidate for this role will have:

•    Understanding of Microsoft programmes and Bank’s systems (where internal) – including Browser Main Menu, Document Viewer, DocBox, BOS etc 
•    Understanding of Business types and structures
•    Digital channel and non-complex commercial product knowledge relevant to segment
•    Experience of making timely and rational decisions, based on relevant information and experience.
•    Keep abreast of HSBC's international and domestic strategy, capabilities and policies as well as external factors influencing international and domestic business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements

The base location for this role is Birmingham.
