About the role:
- To lead on and be accountable for the design and delivery of the Internal Information and Advice Service for Direct Payments to ensure it is effective and efficient.
- To lead on and be accountable for the delivery of the contract for Managed accounts and Payroll services supporting Direct Payment recipients.

- The ability to analyse and understand complex issues, and to offer innovative and creative solutions.
- Have excellent communication and negotiation skills and an ability to influence outcomes, with reasoning, persuasion, and tact.
What you will do:
- Provide leadership through direct line management, supervision and appraisals of ILA staff; ensuring requests for services from DP recipients, Social Workers, operational staff and Finance colleagues are provided within timely information and advice.
- To oversee the distribution of caseloads to Direct Payment support advisors , ensuring that appropriate cases are allocated to Direct Payment support advisors and that case notes and advice provided by the service is quality assured.
- To provide training and support to Direct Payment Support Advisors and to develop working practices and protocols for the Direct Payment Support Service.
