Synaptics is looking for a Director, HR EMEA who will play a key role in fostering an employee-centric culture which emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and the ongoing development of a high-performing and engaged workforce. This key role will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management and oversight of all aspects of the regional HR function. This position reports to the Sr. Director, HRBP.

Job Duties

  • Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement talent strategies, initiatives, and solutions that support business needs
  • Partner with the leadership team to gain deep understanding and knowledge of business issues and opportunities; create proactive solutions
  • Translate business strategies and objectives into the appropriate regional strategy, partnering closely with the HR Centers of Excellence and regional HR teams
  • Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives in the region
  • Respond with urgency and empathy to employee needs and drive for successful resolution; effectively manage conflict, organization changes and resolve problems that get in the way of the execution of business plans; Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Develop and deliver People strategies and programs for assigned client groups. Initiate, develop and drive the adoption of organization and process improvements
  • Lead and support company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., rewards and recognition, performance management, M&A and change management)
  • Identify and develop appropriate learning and development solutions for individuals, teams, and organizations supported; work with teams to create meaningful development and career plans to improve their ability to thrive and grow in their roles

  • Able to establish clear expectations, set objectives and brings multiple parties together to drive key initiatives
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work within a diverse team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible HRBP/Country HR roles (including 7+ years in leadership roles)
  • Demonstrated track record in building high performing teams, meeting deliverables and deadlines
  • Strong understanding of relevant employment laws and regulatory rules
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a quick moving and change oriented environment
  • Proven experience at successfully developing & strengthening management controls and operational processes
  • Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally to influence behavior, change, and collaboration
  • A great teammate who is passionate about developing and being part of a high functioning team and company; demonstrated experience building a great team culture
  • Minimal travel is required
