This prestigious position offers the chance to influence the direction and success of the Building Surveying department, making it a pivotal role within the company.

The Role:

The successful Director of Building Surveying will play a critical role in supporting business development and nurturing client relationships. They will be responsible for leading a range of commercial schemes across the South West, demonstrating their expertise and leadership skills. This role is not only about overseeing projects but also about guiding and mentoring junior members of the team, ensuring their growth and development within the company.

• Lead and manage the Building Surveying team in Bristol, setting high standards and driving performance.
• Play a key role in business development efforts, identifying new opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
• Oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial schemes, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.
• Provide expert advice and consultancy services across a range of Building Surveying activities.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Director of Building Surveying position will be a dynamic and commercially minded individual with a proven track record in the field. Key requirements include:

• Significant experience in Building Surveying, particularly within the commercial sector.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.
• A solid background in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of Building rapport with clients and team members alike.
• MRICS is essential.
