Are you a highly skilled, hands-on senior Communications and Public Affairs professional who has extensive experience of working in a senior role and is passionate about making a difference nationally?
ADASS is the membership charity for adult social care leaders in England. We work to improve care and support through influencing policy and decision makers, supporting our members and engaging the public. It is an exciting time to join us, as social care issues varied and complex, as is the environment in which we operate. Our Director of Communications and Public Affairs will be responsible for significantly increasing awareness, understanding and support for adult social care amongst key stakeholders and the public, working in a convening style with allies to build a movement committed to improving social are outcomes.
You’ll work as a part of ADASS’s leadership and with our small and talented team. You will lead will be on internal and external Communications and you’ll build relationships with journalists, partners, people with lived experience, and key decision makers across government. You will also take a lead role in the planning and delivery of our annual flagship conferences and other virtual and in-person events.
In this role, offered initially as an 18 months fixed term contract, you will be passionate about our values, working with our members and enjoy a fast-paced and very varied role as part of our talented and diverse team.
