As Director of Estates, you will be playing a pivotal role in effectively managing the deployment of school resources to maintain existing facilities and support development of upcoming projects.
Director of Estates Job Summary:
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children on-site by pro-actively ensuring all visitors are signed in and issued with the appropriate coloured lanyard.
- Strategic oversight of all aspects of the school operating and maintenance structures and procedures – maintaining all properties on the estate.
- Managing the schools’ estates budget for procurement of necessary equipment and furnishings.
- Oversight of schools’ health and safety within the school.
- Liaise with Headteacher and SLT to deliver projects related to the estate, and be involved in all areas of these projects, from planning up to implementation.
- Managing the IT delivery across the school, including IT network, communication systems and CCTV.
Director of Estates Requirements:
- IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Project Management Qualification.
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Experience in a similar role, providing support to a range of colleagues.
- Competent with relevant site planning software programs.
- Understanding of relevant policies and legislation and their real-life application.
