Job Title: Director of IT and Digital Learning Services
Location: Hertfordshire (fully onsite)
Salary: £70,000 per annum

The Opportunity

My client, a private secondary school and sixth form in Hertfordshire, is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual for the role of Director of IT and Digital Learning Services. As the focal point for IT across the school, this position entails being the 'owner and architect' responsible for the comprehensive oversight of IT systems. This includes strategic planning, implementation, management, administration, and continuous review to ensure alignment with the dynamic needs of the school. The Director will play a pivotal role in advancing Digital Learning, collaborating with academic staff to explore and implement innovative learning methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ownership and architectural leadership of all aspects of IT systems.
  • Strategic planning and implementation of IT services.
  • Management and administration of the IT infrastructure.
  • Collaboration with academic staff on Digital Learning initiatives.
  • Oversight of network infrastructure and support systems.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology/Systems Engineering/Computing or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in leading IT service delivery, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Expertise in IT architecture design, infrastructure management, computer hardware, software installation, audio-visual technology, printer technology, and general-purpose software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Enterprise software and network designs.
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner status or equivalent project management qualification is desirable.
