Join us in our brilliant role of Director of Maintenance Operations at this exciting time of operational growth and change.  We’re looking for an incredible leader who can supercharge performance across our national repairs and Maintenance Operations.  You’ll develop, lead and inspire our in-house teams and partner/sub-contractors to deliver right first time, commercially driven and compliant services.

Make your mark, driving performance and the evolution of our services, through efficiencies, value for money and improved business performance, delivering on our business plans and customer promise. 

Key priorities as Director of Maintenance Operations:

  • Providing strong, clear and expert leadership promoting a culture of performance, transparency and excellence - casting a positive shadow.
  • Leading and motivating supercharged national teams to exceed customer expectations through strong operational performance, lean ways of working and effectively controlling costs and risks.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, challenging our in-house operational teams, partner/sub-contractors and our maintenance service centre to ensure all services are compliant, commercially focused and achieve operational and commercial targets.
  • Delivering high quality homes and services through a right first-time fix culture that reduces customer complaints and ensures positive performance in tenant satisfaction measures.
  • Through dynamic decision making and a collectively commercial focus, working closely with our Director of Maintenance Futures to deliver value for money services that are high performing and compliant.   
  • Evolving our services to be exemplary and industry leading, gaining external perspectives within and outside of the sector and through engagement with customers and colleagues.

You bring:

  • Significant experience of leading customer-focused, multi-site maintenance operational services with extensive senior management experience.
  • Excellent understanding of regulations, compliance and legislation which impact the delivery of Maintenance Operations and related services for registered providers.
  • Experience of achieving challenging business plan targets and KPI's, delivering value for money and high-quality outcomes.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, able to engage, influence and transform to drive service excellence and lead change and business transformation.
  • Excellent people manager, able to inspire, influence and embed a motivating performance culture.
  • You’ll bring creative spark, be a great influencer, able to unleash the potential of others and know how the world works and our place in it.

Job details:

  • Full time, 37.5 hpw, flexible working hours (we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you).  If you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we’re ok with that too!
  • Flexible hybrid working (based from any of our national offices) with regular travel including to the North-East where our new, state of the art, Head Office is based and also working from home.
  • A full current driving licence as you’ll work and travel on a national basis and will be provided with a car allowance as part of your remuneration package to do that.
