The Opportunity
As a nationally leading creative and cultural third sector agency, we fuse talent and technology to deliver transformative public experiences that positively change perceptions and places for good, and we are looking for a dynamic person to join our leadership team as Director of Operations and Growth to support us on the next phase of our journey.
Working alongside our CEO/Creative Director, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our organisational success through the implementation of robust financial, HR, and operational services, as well as helping to shape and deliver significant organisational growth.
About the role
In this newly created role, you’ll be proactive in ensuring we are set up and operating at our best. As well as managing the day-to-day operations, you’ll be working strategically to ensure we are achieving growth through securing new and diverse projects and programmes. This means you’ll be:
- Working alongside our CEO/Creative Director, developing and effectively delivering our business plan
- Proactively managing our key contractors including HR, Finance and IT, ensuring we have the right support in place to do our great work and maintain our strong reputation
- Presenting at Board meetings, providing knowledge and insight on all operational and financial matters
- Leading the annual budget setting process and income generation strategy
- Identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities and representing Threshold among stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels.
About You
You will have a blend of strategic acumen, operational expertise, and a genuine passion for social impact. Working as part of a small team you will be a highly motivated, dynamic individual with a can-do attitude and confident communication style.Additionally, you will have exceptional financial acumen, with day-to-day oversight and reporting of our budget to meet our funding obligations and achieve sustainable growth.
You’ll also need;
- A natural coaching style when it comes to managing people
- Proven experience with developing and delivering a business plan
- Confidence when presenting to large groups
- Exposure to the arts council funding and reporting processes would be a huge advantage
- Top notch communication and relationship building skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally, and be in Lincoln regularly
How We Reward You
Joining our dedicated and passionate team to deliver social impact through innovative creative experiences is rewarding in every sense. As this is a brand-new senior role, you’ll have free reign to make the role your own, as well as full flexibility on where and how you work.
You’ll receive a salary of £35,000-£38,000 per annum (depending on experience), plus 22 days annual leave plus your bank holidays, and we shut up shop for Christmas so everyone can take a proper break.
