Contract Type: Permanent

We’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. When these schemes fail, we’re ready to help.
We do this by paying our members, by charging a levy and by investing sustainably. Our work has a real impact on people’s lives, so we strive to do it well, with integrity and their future in mind.
A rare opportunity within a senior level position has arisen at the PPF as we are looking for a Director of Performance Improvement.
This position will put our customers at the heart of everything we do by embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the member focussed areas of the PPF; additionally, it will form part of the Chief Customer Officer’s inspiring leadership team.
The role will set the strategic direction for Performance Improvement and will lead the teams’ working on projects, including efficiency and service improvements, pensions administration system improvements, management information and business insights, business testing, customer communications and digital services to directly contribute to outstanding customer service. It will also act as change manager, ensuring that both local and corporate change is embraced and adopted by the people it affects.
Our ideal applicant will have extensive experience of project and change management where they have been driving performance and service improvements within an annuity provider / defined benefit pension administration environment with a digital services strategy. They will be able to demonstrate experience of leading relationships with strategic third-party partners and engaging with senior stakeholders (e.g., Board/Executive Committee members), so well-developed influencing and collaboration skills are essential for this role.
Sound like you? Apply now.
In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career.
We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training.
Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is around 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras.
We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Leader, the highest accreditation under the Disability Confident Scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role you will be guaranteed an interview.
We embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working. Whatever your background, and however you identify, you’ll be welcome here.
We’re happy to talk about flexible working.
