Director Of Women, Children's And Young People’s Services

An exciting opportunity.
NHS Devon is looking to appoint their Director of Women’s, Children and Young People services who will provide clinical and professional leadership as a member of the Senior ICB Nursing team.
The post holder will provide oversight for nursing and midwifery practice aligned to relevant Women’s and Children’s strategies. This will include Maternity, Neonatal , Children in Care and SEND, as well as the full commissioning function for Women’s and Children. They will be accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer and will support the ICB exercise its functions effectively, efficiently, economically, with good governance and in accordance with the terms of the ICB constitution.
The role requires an experienced registered nurse or midwife with substantial clinical leadership experience in relevant area of work. They will work along with the Medical Directorate to provide high quality professional leadership embedded at all levels of the system as set out in the Clinical Care Professional Leadership Guidance.
The post holder will personally create the conditions for effective positive, working relationships between the ICB and provider collaboratives, support system wide joint working at a strategic board level with system partners influencing where appropriate and acting as an advocate for Maternity and Women’s and Children’s services on a local or regional level, as required.
