Job Description
Portfolio Management (PM) is a Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) team whose mandate is to optimise the risk/return profile of the CIB loan book whilst supporting the development and maintenance of LBG’s Corporate and Institutional client franchise.
Role Overview:
There is a band F Director vacancy in the Pricing Exceptions, Models and Secretariat team within PM. This team is responsible for the pricing framework and models, pricing exception decisioning, and delivery of governance and secretariat requirements.
The Director role will lead on delivering change and simplification of the existing pricing model (EPC+). This includes development of new functionality, conducting impact analysis to agree required changes, UAT testing and engagement with the wider business to communicate and embed updates. As the business owner for the pricing framework methodologies and approach, you'll lead on the interlock with key partners in Portfolio Analytics, Platform and Balance Sheet Management teams. In addition, the Director will be a key liaison for the PM relationship with Finance, working with them and wider PM team to ensure we understand and deliver against the P&L budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on development and implementation of a simplified pricing model for CIB, working with key partners in Portfolio Analytics and Platform teams to influence and successfully deliver PM requirements
- Support key partners (Coverage and Product colleagues) through the change process
- Provide expert advice to colleagues on the pricing and return framework
- Lead interlock between PM and Finance to drive understanding of P&L budget to help us deliver against this
- Line management for 2 Associate Director colleagues
- Support the wider PM team with strategic objectives
The role provides the opportunity to work collaboratively across several teams.
Key Capabilities:
- Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to decision making
- Knowledge of CIB’s pricing process, and ideally experience using the Economic Profit Calculator (EPC+)
- Comfortable leading challenging priorities, and workloads
- Knowledge of Regulatory Capital, Risk Weighted Assets and Finance / P&L budget setting
- Knowledge of the Products used in CIB
- Clear and concise oral and written communication style with the ability to distil complexity for non-technical audiences
