The Unified Money Transfer (UMT) is the tip of the spear in Mastercard’s movement from selling products and into selling capabilities that help our customers meet their end-customers’ needs. The capabilities that make up the UMT offering are part of separate and independent products of Mastercard Send, Cross-Border Services, Bill Pay, and XBBS. To this end, the UMT Global Product Management team is looking for a Director of Product Management to build and drive our product and feature readiness strategy. The position will have a primary focus of directing and managing the successful documentation of the Product, which includes two distinct customer experiences tied directly to the currently existing Products of Mastercard Send and Cross-Border Services Pro. The key responsibilities will be to manage and update UMT Product agreements, standards, and product/program guides over time and for the addition of new features and feature enhancements for the Product. The candidate must be detail oriented, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset to succeed in this role.
Role
- Lead the efforts to author and define product information pertinent to the global launch and ongoing care of UMT payment solutions.
- Creates clear and concise communication of product information, processes, frameworks and projects to key internal stakeholders and customers.
- Works cross-functionally with other Product Management stakeholders, engineers, as well as partners in finance, legal, and operations, compliance, to support existing and new payment services and deliver solutions.
- Takes responsibility for driving clear communication that is pertinent to commercialization and delivery of UMT, which includes Product agreements, standards, and product/program guides.
- Collaborates frequently with internal stakeholders to align on key deliverables associated with introduction of new features and the enhancements of initial functionality delivered as part of the Market Test.
- Manages and leads the governance and Product intake process that accepts and manages new requests for features and requests for product enhancements.
About You
- You have superior communication skills with a demonstrated experience documenting Products, features, functionality, and associated guides;
- A Bachelor’s degree is required
- Prior experience in a communication-intensive role, such as Product Management, marketing, or business analysis for card networks and/or digital financial services products or services;
- Understanding of the Product Management lifecycle, with API-based products and solutions is a must;
- Ability to organize and capture product and process details, communicate information, set, and conduct meetings, and engage with internal partners;
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills, and ability to think strategically and translate concepts into clear, actionable strategies and tactics;
- Strong self-motivation and organizational skills;
- Ability to build and maintain strong, productive, collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholders over cross-functional teams from multiple countries.
