Job description

This role offers a competitive salary, hybrid working, 28 days holiday a year plus Bank Holidays and a fantastic pension scheme.

Location London/Hybrid minimum 1d/week in the office (Thursdays)

Salary £74,000 - £90,000 per annum

 About the role

You'll be accountable for the strategy, performance and areas of focus on a specific area of our product portfolio, shaping the work on a large initiative as a principal or prioritising impact areas across several squads. You'll balance user needs and business outcomes to create an evidence-based approach to delighting our users - so that we can attract and retain subscribers, increase revenues, and thereby continue to fund our important charitable work standing up for UK Consumers. This role will initially lead the user-centred development and implementation of our new data strategy - creating platforms, tools and proofs-of-concept that enable our squads to create dynamic, personalised experiences across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • developing a deep understanding of users and their journeys, prioritising the most important opportunities for commercial impact
  • working with senior stakeholders to develop a lasting trusted partnership and long-term alignment around a product vision, strategy and roadmap for the area
  • shaping work to empower teams, maximise impact and reduce dependencies
  • supporting squads in delivering effectively, ensuring discovery work informs future plans at a strategic level, and impact is communicated.
  • improving the product craft of staff, and advocating for the product operating model, at Which?

About you:

  • Experienced product leader that has worked across the lifecycle, using modern discovery, delivery, and operations approaches
  • Proven experience in shaping, governing and communicating work delivered by multiple empowered teams
  • Experience of using data to shape customer experiences; this ranges from strategic analysis to determine ROI on opportunities, through analytics and A/B testing, and to driving personalisation at scale
  • Successfully reconciles user and business needs, identifying and testing the most important assumptions to manage risk and ensure successful delivery
  • Has built Product skills in others, and fostered healthy multidisciplinary working practices

The interview process for this role involves:-

  • There may be an informal discussion with the recruitment team, depending on the volume of candidates
  • A 50-minute first-round interview about your skills and experience
  • For successful candidates, a second-round interview which will consist of responding to a Product Leadership scenario (which will be sent several days in advance of the interview), followed by a few more in-depth questions about your skills.
