About the Role
Suffolk Primary Care is looking to welcome a Dispensary Team Leader at Debenham Group Practice, on a full or part time basis, ensuring the provision of quick, efficient and accurate dispensing of medication to our patients across our three rural surgery sites.
You will manage the team whilst delivering effective financial control of the dispensary, managing and coordinating all aspects of the day to day operations and take pride in leading and inspiring your team to perform. The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Supporting site and department management in the day-to-day operations of the Dispensary and leading and guiding its staff.
- Ensuring adequate staffing across sites at all times
- Providing medication hub support i.e. raising scripts from tasks, emails, or askmyGP.
- Organising prescriptions, reviewing endorsements, completing necessary forms, and submitting prescriptions monthly to the Prescription Pricing Authority (PPA).
- Completing assigned tasks, preparing reports, providing support for projects, and participating in development or change initiatives as they arise.
- Supporting the review and update of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Developing & maintaining positive working relationships with fellow Dispensary Team Leaders within the group.
- Supporting and helping improve profitability.
- Ensuring full compliance with dispensing law and regulations. Maintaining good probity in all dispensing activities.

About the Candidate
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills

- Highly competent in the use of Office and Outlook
- A good standard of general education including English and Maths at GCSE grade C or above
- Significant experience as a dispenser
- Experience of supporting / leading others
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
