Job description

What we’re looking for:

  • Do you have experience in diary management and appointment scheduling?
  • Are you able to deal with a range of difficult problems and resolve these to the customer's satisfaction, exploring alternatives options to resolve the problem?
  • Do you have experience of raising, monitoring and recording work orders though a relevant housing / repair management system?
  • Do you have experience in dealing with a wide range of people including clients, staff, contractors and external agencies?
  • Do you have experience in a role which has required good admin skills, including keyboard, telephone, IT and experience of working with databases?

We currently have a great opportunity for a Disrepair Coordinator to join us on a Temporary basis.

As a Disrepair Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of disrepair cases, working alongside and supporting case managers and surveyors delivering disrepair works.

Some of the key results for the role include:

  • Advising and supporting our customers in resolving their queries and issues, ensuring that their expectations are managed and proactive resolutions are identified.
  • Managing enquiries and requests for service via the telephone, computer and all other means of communication that come from internal and external customers.
  • Monitoring progress of works with special emphasis on works in progress liaising with the supply chain to ensure works are completed in target, raising works orders for the supply chain, monitor outcomes and completion targets.
  • Setting up and maintaining any databases, spreadsheets and systems as required.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the Heads of Service or their nominees, which may include working outside normal working hours

A minimum of 1 to 2 days working in the Basildon office is required.
This role is a Fixed Term Contract covering for an internal secondment.
