Job Description:
We are seeking a Post Design Development Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting product development, NPI activities, supporting and liaising with engineering partners and contract manufacturers. This will include managing technical documentation and maintaining our engineering data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support engineers and contract engineers in mechanical engineering.
- Create and manage product and production technical documentation.
- Maintain the company’s engineering data, within a ISO13495 QMS.
- Have responsibility for engineering drawings (BS 8888) and technical documentation, reports relating to technical files for medical devices.
- Work collaboratively with contracted design agencies and contract manufacturing partners.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the medical device or other regulated Industry.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar state-of-the-art CAD solutions.
- Product data management experience is preferred.
- A keen eye for detail and quality-focused mindset.
- Understanding of the importance of medical device quality management systems.
- Experience with design change control processes in medical devices within ISO13485.
