Playing a pivotal role in the development of the Optical Fibre fabrication process you will join an expanding company who are at the forefront of optical technology. You will work with products which are used in a multitude of applications across the world with some of the best minds within this niche field.
In time you will take ownership of all specialist testing facilities across the fibre technology division.
A key area of the role will be to develop novel Fibre Test and fabrication processes for use in high performance lasers. You would be involved in hands on fabrication of R&D prototypes for Optical Fibre glass preforms
You would work in a small team which plays a huge part in the overall development of the transfer of products into manufacturing.
We would be open to looking at recent PhD graduates with relevant practical experience along with more experienced candidates.
For this role we are looking for:
Optical Fibre testing experience
Ideally a degree or PhD in a related field.
