Distance Learning Marker

Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Distance Learning Marker at our Chichester campus. You will join us on a bank basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £13.74 per hour.

The Distance Learning Marker role:

Are you looking for a flexible role which allows you to work from home and accept work assignments when convenient to you? Perhaps you are looking for that extra role in addition to your main job that enables you to earn that bit of extra money.

Chichester College is recruiting for Markers for a variety of Distance Learning qualifications. As a Marker, you will work from home and will need to have access to appropriate online resources to complete the role within specific timeframes and in accordance with governing body requirements. Markers will need to provide learners with appropriate feedback and guidance to ensure completion of the qualification is supported appropriately.

Key Responsibilities of ourDistance Learning Marker:

• Marking Distance Learning courses accurately and within specific timeframes, against current specifications.
• Attending standardisation meetings to ensure consistency.
• Liaising with each candidate on progress on completion of each booklet.
• Providing online feedback and guidance as required by the candidate.

Our ideal Distance Learning Marker should have the below skills and experience:

• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above
• Understanding of Distance Learning specifications
• Relevant subject knowledge
• Attend standardisation meetings
