Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an exceptional leader as our Divisional Director forMental Health and Learning Disabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the Health and wellbeing of the population in one of the largest Health Boards in Wales
Accountable to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be required to lead the Division, working with the senior leadership team and clinical directors to ensure the effective delivery of services across the Division.

This is a key strategic role and the post holder will provide visible leadership to all staff within the Division and ensure the delivery of agreed objectives and plans across all the Division’s activities with the aim of securing patient focused, modern, effective and efficient services. The post holder will be:
• accountable for ensuring the delivery of clinically & professionally effective in Mental Health and LD Services that comply with all requirements of clinical, patient safety and clinical governance.
• accountable for the development and functioning of Mental Health and LD, ensuring appropriate governance structures are in place and performance is monitored, to ensure all objectives are delivered.
• the Accountable officer responsible for all financial, physical and human resources required to support delivery of services and network functions which include.
• Will develop and maintain key relationships with colleagues within the Health Board and its partners and contributes to All Wales networks and working groups
• Will develop and maintain key relationships with Local Authority Partners in designing and delivering integrated services where appropriate.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
