My client specialise in insulation, renewable energy, and heating systems, providing energy saving solutions for their clients across the ECO-4 scheme. Some of their services include cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, air source heat pumps, solar, IWI, and boiler upgrades.

An opportunity has presented for a Surveyor to join their dynamic team.

Experience working within the housing/insulation, energy efficiency, renewable energy sectors is desirable.

Earnings are pay by survey and are negotiable depending upon experience

What you'll do

  • Visit customers in their homes and complete a survey to assess suitability for a cavity wall insulation; heat pump; solar PV; loft and or complete an Energy Performance Certificate
  • Capture multiple data points, including measuring all rooms and windows. Ensure all of the correct information is captured to the APP. To enable the design and installation of Cavity wall Insulation (CWI) boiler and heating controls, and loft insulation where required.
  • Expertly explain the process you are undertaking to customers and be an advocate for the technology
  • Be an exceptional communicator, ensuring customers feel good about each and every visit and are motivated to upgrade their homes
  • Be resilient and adaptable to change in a fast paced environment

What you'll need

  • Experience communicating effectively with customers, ideally in a face to face environment
  • Previous experience within an organisation assessing properties for energy efficiency or insulation measures is desirable (Domestic Energy Assessor/Retro Fit Assessor qualified is highly desirable but not essential)
  • Experience with talking to customers about work in their homes, ideally with a background in measuring and sizing equipment along with home construction and building fabric knowledge.
  • Some mechanical or electrical experience is preferred but not essential although an ability to learn quickly to support your role will be required
