Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Gas Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To analyse and repairing faults to Domestic Gas appliances, systems, and controls, and carrying out routine annual servicing and repairs to gas appliances and their associated systems to specifications, drawings and work instructions.
- To carry out Domestic Gas pipe work in numerous locations each day with remote supervision.
- To act as a mentor within the workplace for apprentices, work experience placements, new starters etc, to assist in the development of their skills and to promote a positive image of the Company.
- To accurately complete all relevant internal and external documentation, such as vehicle inspection sheets, material requisitions and job completion sheets.
- To discuss work related gas issues directly with customers on site with a professional and diplomatic approach to determine their exact requirements.
- To drive and be responsible for impress stock in a company vehicle.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Have a Clean UK Driving Licence.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Relevant experience in the trade.
