About the role
We are currently looking to appoint a committed and dynamic Drama Teacher to work with our learners aged 14 – 16 at The Academy Grimsby. The successful candidate will be capable of delivering outstanding drama lessons and projects to inspire students and develop their love for the subject.
As a teacher of Drama subjects, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering lessons which are engaging, informative and challenging. The successful candidate will also track and monitor each group to ensure achievement of their qualifications. It is essential that they are a team player and have sound skills & knowledge of both the subject area and teaching and learning strategies.
About the person
This post will suit an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher with a background in Drama. In this role, you will lead the drama programme delivering to year 10 and year 11 learners providing students with a dynamic Study Programme that will set them up ready for the world of work.
Candidates must hold a minimum of a relevant Level 3 qualification in curriculum area subject and would ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS/PGCE/Cert Ed). Candidates should also have experience teaching in a school, college or equivalent within this subject area.
