Salary Working in this lively and diverse inner London borough you will have the opportunity to contribute to delivering a quality grounds maintenance service across Islington’s Parks and Housing Estates, as directed, support the Housing Manager in the collection of general green waste, refuse, recycling and help cleansing for the Housing and Park areas.
Working as an individual or as part of a team to provide high quality customer focussed Environmental Services including all types of waste collection, street cleansing and grounds maintenance. There is a requirement to provide specialist professional Large Goods Vehicle driving skills (unless working with the Grounds Maintenance Service) and be responsible for other team members.
As the driver you will have the responsibility of leading the loader to provide an effective and efficient grounds maintenance service, in the collection of bagged or loose waste, which will be mainly be the collection for pruning's from other teams maintaining Parks and Housing sites.

You will need to be able to:
Carry out quality and safety inspections of work carried out under your direction.
Have a proven record of leading staff to deliver quality front line services.
Hold and maintain a valid/clean C1 or above Driving License for a 7.5t lorry and undertake regular training as required.
