DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Drivers Mate to play a vital role in our daily distribution requirements. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures, with a committed attitude to Continuous Improvement, ultimately ensuring that all order deliveries are handled safely and in a timely manner.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices plus a high level of customer service, you will
Monday to Friday starting between 0500-0700 in partnership with a HGV driver for our Tradeteam from our DC located in Ebbw Vale.
Carrying out very physical deliveries of alcohol to licensed premises.
High levels of manual handling are required and working in a 2 person team.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
Previous practical experience as a Drivers Mate, within a logistics or similar environment would be preferable
Previous experience of the preparation, distribution and handling of volume orders.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
