To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative to come and join our team at our Cattybrook site in Bristol, BS32 4BX
The successful applicant will be a member of a multi-functional production/TPM team aiming to achieve key targets within the departmental environment, thereby helping to deliver Cost, Quality and Efficiency benefits to the Factory.
Specific responsibilities include:
Loading brick packs on to Lorries using a 6 pronged counterbalanced forklift truck
Hand sorting of packs of bricks
Operation of plant and machinery
Working to SSOP’s with safe and precise working practices at all times
General maintenance of equipment
Packing
The ability to learn quickly
Being part of the local TPM team
Housekeeping in your area of responsibility
High degree of Health and Safety and environmental awareness
Help with month end stock taking
Ability to use Computers and computer systems
Ability to fill in for administration role to cover Dispatch when required
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Counterbalanced forklift license B2
Reading and writing ability and able to understand production machinery
Basic numeric skills
Flexible and self-motivated working attitude
Good vision
Ability to work as part of a team or on your own.
Good timekeeping and attendance records.
Team working attitude and good communication skills
