Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Drone Equipment Engineer to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time agri-tech role is based in Newport, Shropshire and offers a salary of 35k-40k and excellent benefits.
As a Drone Equipment Engineer, you will help manage a fleet of sensors and platforms, ensuring equipment is in working order, monitored and ready to deploy across the UK.
If you were already in this type of technician role, here are some of the areas you would have been working in this week:
- Asset tracking, monitoring and documentation
- Daily checks of fixed and mobile assets
- Providing on-site support to companies working with deployed assets
- Collection and reporting of data from deployed systems
- Working with other teams to ensure a seamless transition and understanding of data collected.
To succeed in this flexible role, you must be genuinely enthusiastic about the potential for technology to improve agriculture. You will also need the following:
- Prior experience working with and maintaining a range of sensing systems and research instruments
- The ability to prioritise your time within projects and communicate project risks and progress between colleagues and project partners
- An Agricultural or Engineering qualification and prior experience deploying and maintaining mobile and fixed research equipment, including remote sensors, automated equipment and robotic systems.
- a GVC License is essential for this role
You'll receive a salary of £35,000 - £40,000 and an attractive benefits package for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
