Apricus Resourcing are working with an award winning supplier as they are on the lookout for a dedicated Recovery Workers to join their team based from Waltham Forrest.
Your role will be based at a service that understands the impacts that drugs/alcohol can have, they are compassionate and help with a range of areas not just Drug & Alcohol. As a Recovery Worker you will be working within a brand new service that has recently opened. The service have a firm belief harm reduction is not about enabling drug use, it is pragmatic, non-judgmental and empowering. They offer a number of services including naxolone, overdose prevention centres, opioid substitutes, group sessions, 1-2-1’s & much more.
The services main aim is to help service users across the region who are suffering with substance misuse issues. The role available is varied so you will be working with families as a whole, taking a holistic view to the recovery strategy offered to those coming to the service. You will be training to deliver MPACT and will be supported to deliver a range of group and 1-2-1 support.
Duties for the role will include:
* Working closely with service users to help reintegrate them back into their communities
* Help service users reduce their SM related harm
* Help formulate Care Plans and review these on a regular basis
* Take part in regular 1-2-1 sessions
* Take part in group sessions
* Work with external providers to help service users reach their goals, this may include work with social services, HMP’s etc
* Offer advice when required, service users will look to you for regular help and guidanceIn order to be considered for this particular role you will need to have experience of working with drug/alcohol abuse, experience of using interventions to facilitate change, experience of working and creating care plans, group work & experience of working closely with families and supporting their needs.

In order to be considered for the role you must have a genuine passion/background within SM along with knowledge and understanding of the criminal system, hard reduction techniques, interventions & experience of multi agency working including with external stakeholders.
In return the service manager can offer an ongoing locum role paying between £18.55 - £19.55 per hour on a 37.5 hour working locum contract.
