We are looking for a dynamic, experienced DT technician or recent Design graduate who is looking to make a difference in a secondary school. The successful candidate will have a passion for education.
You will be working closely with the DT department working closely with students in assisting with practical experiments and

• Experience of working as a Design technician (desired not essential)
• Have an interest in the education sector
• Have a current enhanced DBS or willing to process one
• A recent graduate (graduated within last 2 years) (Desired not essential)
• Ability to engage with and inspire young learners

Role Summary

• preparing, setting up and checking equipment
• supporting teaching staff and students during lessons
• putting away equipment after lessons
• ensuring a safe environment
• organising and storing equipment and checking stock
• repairing, maintaining and modifying equipment
• administrative tasks

The ideal candidate
Will be required to prepare, provide and return tools, equipment and materials as necessary, offering support in lessons, ordering stock and maintenance of workshops and stores. This post also encompasses an understanding of CAD (preferably 2D design), and knowledge of operating and cleaning Laser machinery.
