My client, a brilliant Lloyd's of London Broker, are seeking a school leaver, straight out of college, or an individual with around 1 - 2 years of Insurance Broking Accounting (IBA) experience.
In this role, you will be handling the daily transactions flowing through the IBA department. This role maintains operational expertise across a variety of activities from processing of incoming receipts, account reconciliation and raising of outgoing payments. You will form a key part of ensuring a regular operating rhythm is maintained throughout the month, enabling the wider IBA team to maximise client and Insurer engagement. Experience in insurance is not essential and full training will be given.
Role overview
- Credit control
- Cash application
- IBA reconciliation
- Bank reconciliation
- Daily processing of core IBA tasks such as receipt allocation, insurer statement reconciliation and raising of payments
- Support audit requests
- Predominantly deal with internal Business stakeholders; occasionally dealing with external parties
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience within financial services is preferred but not essential
- Understanding of basic concepts of accounting
- Basic understanding of using computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office
