Introduction
Our client is a key supplier for a government department, and they are looking to fill a number of opportunities across Systems Integration, Infrastructure and Test.
They are specifically looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to work within Cloud or virtualised environments and offer a variety and increasing workload!
Working Patterns - Predominantly on site – Option of a 9 day fortnight.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for performing a range of Test Engineering tasks across the development life cycle.
- Ability to be able to apply knowledge of engineering best practice and to apply appropriate processes, procedures and tools.
- Required to provide input into estimating/planning, will work under limited supervision to meet customer needs.
- Testing systems developed utilising a number of the following technologies: RF, Networking, Telecoms, Internet and IP related technologies, Embedded systems and programming, Cloud technologies.
- Developing test support tools or automated scripts using modern languages or scripting.
- Working in a test capacity in the areas of COTS Integration and Agile Systems Development.
Skills & experience
- Experience working with computer systems, networking hardware, security appliances and software.
- Solid understanding and application of systems and integration engineering principles, requirements analysis and decomposition, system architecture and design.
- Experience with manual or automation testing within a secure environment.
- Software development experience or familiarity particularly with Python.
- Strong written and communication skills.
