Job description

Description

We are working in partnership with Cornwall Council to enhance and improve the way that they are able to respond to and deal with customer enquiries and problems. We are currently implementing a new Customer Experience Platform (CXP) which is underpinned by Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
As part of this project, we have introduced D365 into the councils contact centre, and are now working to migrate lots of individual processes from the legacy CRM onto the new platform. We have also built a range of back-office case management solutions utilising D365 within specific services at the council using an agile delivery framework.
The team isn’t just focussed on D365, for most process there are also resident facing web forms and pages that our team are responsible for building, and we have been fundamental in the creation of the new resident portal ‘MyCornwall’. We also build enterprise Power Apps and have a hand in the council’s ambitions for chatbots and utilisation of AI.
We need someone who has the right attitude, will hit the ground running and be self-driven to pick things up. Also important is someone who can quickly build relationships with the team, our team are mainly home based, but we do get together every fortnight for sprint planning (once a month for remote employees).
We already have a great blend of experienced Dynamics professionals, working with and alongside more traditional software developers from different backgrounds, which makes for a great team. This multi-skilled team approach offers lots of opportunity to develop and learn from each other as we avoid creating silos of knowledge and always strive to use the ‘right tool for the job’.
About the role:
  • Help define solutions on D365 to solve specific business problems/need
  • Develop new capabilities and extend use cases on D365
  • Develop customer portals on Power Apps Portals/Pages as well as traditional web technologies.
  • Provide integrations to various front-end and back-end systems.
  • Work within an agile delivery framework to deliver iterative business value through the CXP platform
  • Work as part of a wider team, sharing knowledge with more junior members of the team, and being willing to learn from more experienced members

Key skills / experience:
  • Have experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement, Power Apps, Portals, Power Automate or a combination of the above.
  • Have experience with the programming languages associated with D365 development
  • Have worked in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary team
  • Have experience of related Microsoft products, for example Azure, SharePoint and Power BI (these are advantageous but not essential)
  • Ability to build strong relationships within the team and with our stakeholders/customer
Company benefits:
  • Flexible hours and remote/hybrid working available.
  • 25 days holiday per year, increasing each year up to 30 days (plus bank holidays).
  • Medical cashback scheme (which also offers discounts at gyms, cinemas, supermarkets etc).
  • Linkedin Learning licences, Pluralsight Learning access, and MS Certification opportunities.
  • Company pension.
  • Enhanced sick/ Maternity/ Paternity pay.

And much more…
Due to the sensitive data involved, a criminal record check (DBS) will be required for as part of the onboarding process for this particular role.
No recruitment agencies please.
We fill all of our roles ourselves and ask agencies not to contact us regarding recruitment.
We are able to offer visa sponsorship, however due to our timescales, we can only consider applications from people already living in the UK.
We recruit on a rolling basis and fill our vacancies as soon as we find people who fit our culture and meet the skills requirements. This means that we may close the role at any point if we have received enough suitable applications, so we recommend that you apply as soon as possible.
