We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Help Practitioner position based within Swadlincote and covering the South Derbyshire and South Dales locality. The successful applicant will assist the Early Help Senior Practitioner in the efficient and effective delivery of Children’s Services. The successful applicant will demonstrate and champion evidence-based practice and embed Derbyshire’s operating model into all Early Help practice, in order to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families.
Derbyshire County Council is committed to providing Early Help services to the most vulnerable children to prevent risk of harm or breakdown in their family situation. The role includes undertaking whole family Early Help Assessments in terms of assessing risk and providing an appropriate service, facilitating Team Around the Family meetings, group work delivery, direct work with children and families and working with partners. There is a requirement of excellent interpersonal skills, and the candidate must have strong IT and recording skills. Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
