An exciting opportunity has arisen at Children & Young People Disability Hub to join our service as an Early Intervention Worker. The CYPD Hub supports children with disabilities aged 0-18 and their families. We do this via targeted parenting work, assessing for packages of support, and running support groups, a range of different seasonal program and activities for children.
We also contribute to and support to the planning of services in the borough for children with disabilities and their families. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Early Intervention Worker to provide the highest level of support to our families. Some evening and weekend work maybe required.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual who is committed to helping children with disabilities and their families overcome barriers and lead a healthy and happy life.
Some experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable but not essential, there will be ample opportunity for learning. We are looking for someone that can be organised and take initiative, no two families we work with are the same and required to have a holistic, child-centered way of working that seeks to offer families support, often at a difficult time for them.
Further, we are looking for someone that is energetic and enthusiastic, willing to get involved with the running of groups and activities and making sure children with additional needs have some fun activities to enjoy.

You will be joining a small and friendly team that work hard to ensure the needs of all children with disabilities in the borough are being met.
Our work includes providing families with respite and packages of care after assessment, providing targeted parenting work and offering emotional and practical support to families. As well as this targeted intervention work, we have the opportunity to run groups for families to attend, support groups for families and we run a programme of activities and trips for children and families during school holidays.
The work at the CYPD Hub is varied, challenging and good fun and we are excited to be able to extend the team and develop our service.
