Early Years Pracitioner

About us:
We are a charity run business, established in 2003. We create a home from home experience within our setting, for our children to grow and flourish. Due to growing numbers, we are seeking to recruit an additional practitioner to join our warm and welcoming team. We pride ourselves on offering all our staff training opportunities in areas they wish to develop relevant to the setting needs which allow them to develop within their career and own personal growth.
Requirements:
We are looking for a Qualified Level 2 or Qualified Level 3 Early Years practitioner with experience working in a nursery.
Main Roles:
To care for the welfare, well being and development of children ages between 2 - 5 years.
To effectively deliver the EYFS with the team ensuring that the individual needs and interests of all our children in the setting are met.
To keep records of key children's development and share their development with parents, professionals and other key adults in the children's lives.
To work alongside the manager/deputy manager/staff team to ensure our settings aims and objectives are fulfilled.
To read, understand and adhere to our settings policies and procedures.
To support the nursery's commitment in safeguarding all children in our care.
To ensure high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety are maintained at all times.
To be part of the team to provide a stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors.
Schedule:
Monday - 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Tuesday - 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Wednesday - 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Thursday - 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Friday - 1:00pm - 5:30pm
Term time - 22.5 hours per week for 38 weeks per year
Permeant contract
To start as soon as possible
Overtime is also available from start date to 19th July for starting 1 and a half hours earlier at 11:30am instead of 1:00pm. Once 19th July has gone you would then go back to your permanent contracted hours of 1:00pm - 5:30pm unless more overtime becomes available.
Essential criteria:
At least 1 years in a nursery setting
Level 2 in childcare qualification
Desirable criteria:
Level 3 in childcare qualification
Experience working with SEN children
Salary: up to £10.42 per hour, will increase in April 2024.
