We are looking to employ an Early Years Practitioner with immediate effect for Immingham Day Nursery. The post is for approximately between 16 and 30 hours a week, but could change due to children's numbers. Hours are contracted Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 6pm - candidates must be available during this time.
Level 2 or above.
To Provide a high a standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children placed in the nursery.
To give support to other personnel within the nursery.
To implement the daily routine within the nursery unit.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Have a clear knowledge of the Early Years foundation stage curriculum.
To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children, for parents and professional agencies.
Work with parents/carers of additional needs children to give full integration in the nursery, supporting children with an I.E.P.
Support all staff and engage in a good staff team.
Liaise with and support parents and other family members.
To be flexible within working practices of nursery. Be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery e.g. preparation of meals, cleaning of toys and equipment.
Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled.
Recording accidents in the accident book. Ensure the manager has initialed the report before the parent receives it.
Look upon the nursery as a 'whole' where can you most be utilised, be constantly aware of the needs of the children.
Ensure child is collected by someone known to the nursery.
To respect the confidentiality of information received.
To develop your role within the team especially with regard as a key person.
To be available to work from 7:30am to 5:45pm, 5 days a week

To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing.
Washing and changing children as required.
Providing comfort and warmth to a poorly child while waiting to be collected.
To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children from differing cultures and religious backgrounds and stages of development.
To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times and adhere to the settings policies and procedures. Supporting parents and carers of these policies and being aware of any amendments.
