Lincolnshire County Council has an exciting opportunity for two Early Years Practitioners to join the Early Early Years and Childcare Support team. This will be on a fixed term basis for two years or a secondment opportunity for an internal candidate.
Do you have experience of working in an Early Years setting and comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS?
Could you support settings with their delivery of the EYFS and to meet the needs of the children within their care? Following on from the Spring budget 2023, from April 2024 the government support for working families towards childcare costs will be expanding. As a result of this we are looking for two Early Years Practitioners to join our team, to support with quality improvement for 0-2 year olds or Early Intervention. This will be for a fixed term basis for 24 months. This will be within the centrally based team.
About the role
One will lead the support around quality 0-2 year old provision and will offer advice and guidance to Early Years Providers as they open new places in their settings as part of the Early Years Reforms. The other will lead support around Early Intervention and Inclusion, supporting Early Years providers to feel equipped to support families as and when they need this.
You will work alongside the Early Years Sector in promoting the the efficient and effective delivery of Early Years Provision within Lincolnshire and will contribute to the improved educational outcomes for children, with a focus on quality provision, school readiness, transition, Early Years inclusion and SEND.
About you
The postholder must be qualified to at least level 4 (HNC/D, NVQ4, Foundation degree, intermediate diploma)Early Years, childcare or education and must have at least 2 years experience working in an Early Years Setting.
As part of your role you would work alongside other members of the Early Years and Childcare support team and this will also mean working closely with the Early Years and Childcare sector, building strong relationships and supporting a sector lead improvement model.
