Just Imagine Nursery in Colchester rated Outstanding by OFSTED and recipient of NMT Community Nursery of the Year Award have the opportunity for a Level 3 Qualified Practitioner to join their Baby Room team working 1pm-6pm Monday - Friday.
Our Baby Room takes up to 9 children per day , and you would be working as the other half of a morning practitioner within this room.
The nursery is a beautiful converted house that offers a familiar home from home environment at the heart of our community. We strive for all children and families to flourish, and pride ourselves on establishing unique parent partnerships, ensuring every child's individual needs are met and we support families on a day-to-day basis.
The nursery is run by a small team of staff, with little staff turnover and has been open 4 years and still growing and expanding.
Within this role of Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development. You will need to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent, and visitor at all times and follow risk assessments diligently and report all health and safety matters to management.
You will be required to enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development. You will also need to ensure positive partnerships with parents/carers with thorough handover on daily collection and encourage their involvement in the nursery.
For the role of Early Years Practitioner, we would require you to have a full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification - essential. Have sound knowledge of the Statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements and have experience of working within Early Years.
