Job description

*Early Years Practitioner/ nursery nurse- Leyton, East London*
*Level 2 or higher Early Years Practitioner*
*Up to £28000 based on qualification and experience*

As a Level 2 or Level  3 Early Years Practitioner/ nursery nurse, you will take on more responsibility in planning and delivering high-quality educational programs and supporting the overall development of children. Your role will involve leading activities, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining high standards of care and education.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Activity Leadership: Plan, implement, and evaluate a wide range of stimulating activities that align with the EYFS framework.
•    Child Observations: Conduct detailed observations and assessments of children’s development, identifying individual needs and creating tailored learning plans.
•    Environment Management: Ensure the learning environment is well-organised, safe, and engaging, promoting children’s independence and exploration.
•    Parental Engagement: Develop strong partnerships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and involving them in the learning process.
•    Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to apprentices and Level 2 educators, fostering their professional growth.
•    Policy Adherence: Ensure all activities comply with nursery policies, including safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity.
•    Professional Development: Continuously update your knowledge and skills through training and reflective practice.

Qualifications and Skills:
•    Level 2 or 3 Qualification: Relevant in Early Years Education or Childcare.
•    Experience: Significant experience in an Early Years setting.
•    Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and inspire junior staff members.
•    Communication: Excellent communication skills with both children and adults.
•    Knowledge of EYFS: In-depth understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and best practices in early childhood education.
