Early Years Practitioner
Location: Kimpton Village School
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our lovely village school located in the idyllic setting of Kimpton. This part-time position is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who holds a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. The role will cover Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from half term until Easter, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the foundational stages of our children's education.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and Delivery: Assist in planning and delivering a stimulating and inclusive curriculum that caters to the individual needs and interests of children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This includes preparing resources and setting up learning environments that are engaging and safe.
- Child Development: Support children’s personal, social, and educational development, fostering independence, curiosity, and confidence. Monitor children's progress and contribute to assessments and parent consultations to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's development.
- Safeguarding: Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment, adhering to the school's safeguarding policies and procedures. Be vigilant and proactive in ensuring the welfare of all children.
- Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and staff. Communicate effectively about children's progress, achievements, and needs, ensuring a collaborative partnership between home and school.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the Early Years team and wider school staff to ensure a consistent approach to learning and development. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Early Years provision.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in Early Years education. Be open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
About You:
- Qualifications: A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent is essential.
- Experience: Proven experience working in an Early Years setting, demonstrating a clear understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. A creative thinker with strong planning and organizational skills.
