Your new company
Hays Education are working with a fantastic nursery in Blackpool who are recruiting for a brand new Early Years Room Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. This nursery is the largest of its kind in the region with almost 200 children on their books and almost 50 members of staff. They are now looking to increase their workforce to offer the best experience for their children and parents alike. Your working hours will be full-time Monday to Friday, either 7:30am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break and an additional 15-minute break.
Your new role
In your new role as Room Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the nursery management team, ensuring the nursery is well maintained. Your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to ensuring the needs and interest of the children are met effectively, developing relationships with parents & families, making sure children\'s development is accurately recorded, regularly reviewing displays, resources and room layout to ensure the maintenance of a child-centred environment, maintain the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, attend staff meetings, contribute to quality assurance programmes where required and undertake any other duties required by the management team.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role, you must have prior experience as a Room Leader within a nursery, or previous experience in a Leadership role within an Education setting. A minimum of a recognised Level 3 qualification is essential. You must have experience within an early year setting and a strong knowledge of Early Years legislation. You must have a valid Enhanced DBS (this can be applied for by the nursery if needed).
You will be able to work as part of a team, and have good organisational & communication skills. Experience with SEN children is desired but not essential.
