About the role

The Early Childhood Service - Early Years are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Childcare Sufficiency andCompliance Officer to join our small Early Years’ Service supporting the childcare sector in North Northamptonshire.


We are looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic team member with a ‘can do’ attitude to join us on a full time basis working with our childcare providers to support children with their Early Education, provide information to support our future planning and work closely with our sector to support them in being funding compliant 


The successful candidate will be responsible for:


Providing a range of information, support, advice and training to OFSTED registered Early Years childcare providers and schools to monitor compliance, ensure compliance with statutory requirements and contractual obligations set by central and local government


Developing and delivering business, finance and compliance services that enable stakeholders and customers to engage with and make informed use of the service(s) and where appropriate, to instigate behavioural change in our customers / stakeholders, including choice of provider type and type of childcare offer.


Developing and delivering an assessment of need and demand for key areas of the Early Education and Childcare Strategy. Utilising existing datasets, local market intelligence and considering future demographic growth to build a profile of future need; monitor and assess in year demand and changes in the local market conditions.  


You will be fully computer literate and have extensive experience of MS packages, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. You will be using a wide range of NNC systems for which full training will be provided.


The role will require working closely with colleagues and stakeholders in the County therefore a team member with excellent communication both verbal and written are essential.

What will you be doing?
